Celyn Ponce

Celyn Ponce is a cellist of UP Symphony Orchestra since 2022. She started learning the violin at the age 9, then the cello at the age of 12. She graduated from UP College of Music with degrees Diploma in Creative and Performing Musical Arts (2017) and Bachelor of Music (2018), Major in cello Performance under the tutelage of Prof. Eduardo Pasamba. In the recently concluded Thailand Strings Competition 2023 Virtuoso Category, she earned Silver rating in the first round and Gold rating in semifinals. Currently, she teaches at Sisidlan Institute, a Steiner-Waldorf School.
